Social media marketing is not something to be ignored. Does every small business need to have SnapChat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tubmblr, AND Twitter accounts? No. Should every small business have an online presence? YES.

With today’s content driven marketing, your customers don’t just want to know where you are located. Your customers want a detailed description, hours, services, products, and content before making a decision to visit you in person.

So yes, an online presence is very important. Where to start? A functioning website and an active Facebook page. There are many services out there to help you build a site, or even to do it for you. Web service providers like Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, GoDaddy, and WordPress have templates available to take care of all the techy-stuff while you focus on your color scheme.

Once you have a website, you’ll want to connect it to your Facebook account. Don’t have a business page? Create one. Be sure to include your logo, location, hours, phone number, description, and CONTENT. Content is what connects you to your customers.¬†How do you create content? Contests, giveaways, sharing your story, promoting new products or services, testimonials, employee biographies… the possibilities are endless!
