When it comes to reliable auto service, many in the Wooster community have been counting on the same shop for over a century. In 1912, 300 Tire opened its doors in downtown Wooster. Back then, locals in need of service could dial 300 on any phone and be connected with the shop, thus giving 300 Tire it’s name. As technology advanced and the Wooster community grew, 300 Tire maintained exceptional customer service. The shop changed hands a few times as each owner was ready to retire or pursue other ventures, eventually leaving 300 Tire in the capable hands of Kevin Covert.

300 Tire has been serving the Wooster Community Since 1912.

When Kevin took over the business, he kept his focus on serving his friends and neighbors. He expanded services and brought in Lisa Bihari to manage the shop, trusting her to see that every customer would be cared for just as they had since 1912. For Lisa, managing 300 Tire was more than a job. She took great pride in building relationships with customers and creating a family-like culture within the team.

Van’s Tire Pros owner, Joshua Baughman

Joshua Baughman was a wholesale tire salesman during the 2000s. He built a career in the industry working with auto shop owners all over Ohio. When the owner of Van’s Tire Pros in Wadsworth was looking to retire, he called Joshua to see if he might be interested in purchasing the shop. Joshua seized the opportunity and found success with the Wadsworth location. It wasn’t long before other owners looking to retire reconnected with Joshua, allowing the Van’s Tire Pros brand to expand into markets throughout Northern Ohio, most recently in Wooster.

Unlike many organizations that grow quickly, the attention to customer service and professionalism has remained the top priority at Van’s. Before coming to work for Van’s Tire Pros, Rebecca True was impressed with her experience as a customer. “I had an issue with my car and needed service asap. I was referred to Van’s Tire Pros, and from the very first interaction on the phone, I was completely at ease. I was treated as a person, not a transaction.
